  Simply because a product says it is “natural” or “organic” it can still have many harmful ingredients mixed in or ingredients that can turn into formaldehyde causing agents.

  Any "cream-based" product needs to contain a preservative to be safe. KORA Organics only uses preservatives that are approved by COSMOS. KORA Organics is committed to ensuring the finest quality ingredients throughout the range.
- Do your products have an expiration date?

  The majority of our products have a 2.5 year expiration date from the date of manufacture and a 12 month period of use, once opened within this 2.5 year date. Several products that contain active ingredients, like our Silky Sun Drops SPF Sunscreen Serum, will have an expiration date stated on the packaging.
  KORA Organics does not use any harmful or controversial preservatives, often used to extend the shelf life of cosmetic products. We only use natural-based preservatives that are globally approved by COSMOS.
  To ensure best quality of use, it is important to ensure your KORA Organics products are stored correctly—Keep it sealed when not in use, and out of direct heat & sunlight.

  There is no need in a normal climate to refrigerate KORA Organics products. If it is extremely hot and humid you may wish to do so. All of our products undergo what is known as Stability and P.E.T. testing to ensure they are safe for the consumer and can withstand high temperatures.

- Essential oils vs synthetic fragrance - how and why does KORA Organics use essential oils?

  KORA Organics only uses natural or organic essential oils to scent our products (NEVER artificial or synthetic fragrance), which follows our belief in presenting only the purest of skin and body care products. Historically, essential oils have been used for centuries to delicately fragrance the skin and have been the backbone of most natural or organic skin and body care products. We blend essential oils into our product not only from an aromatherapy standpoint—but mostly importantly—for their specific skin benefits. We use these oils at very minute levels, so as not to overpower the senses nor cause any irritation. Therefore, we do not need to include any synthetically derived fragrances whatsoever.

  KORA Organics formulations do not contain any peanuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews or Brazil nut-based ingredients. A high percentage of “nut” allergies are based upon an intolerance of peanuts, which botanically are not a “nut” but a legume. However, many KORA products do contain Macadamia Seed, Coconut and Shea Butter, which are considered part of the tree nut family. These types of nut oils, typically, do not irritate people with nut allergies and tend to be low in risk. As always, we encourage customers who have serious allergies to consult a doctor/allergist or conduct a patch test before using any product.
